Setting Goals...

Upon my return from Croatia & Hercegovina, I had decided to set two fitness goals. The first was to lift 1,000,000 pounds of free dumbbell weight, the second was to be able to do a set of 100 sit ups. The first goal was achieved two weeks ago, 1,000,000 pounds in 34 weeks. The second goal was changed from 100 sit ups to 100 oblique twist sit ups (equivalent to 150-160 regular sit ups). The second enhanced goal was met last week.

I had a mental picture of what the results of achieving the goal would be, a body equivalent to my 72 year old uncle. I focused on the prize, and did it. Along the way I broke many lifetime strength & muscle endurance marks proving to myself that being in the mid 40s was not to late to set lofty goals. I know now for a fact that I am nowhere near what my inherent genetic potential is.

What is a Mario to do in a situation like this?????? Time to set some new goals in the hopes of findinfg out what is my genetic potential???

The two new goals are:

1> To double the intensity of my dumbbell exercises from 34,000 lbs per week to a minimum of 68,000 lbs per week up until I have crossed the 1,000,000 KG threshold (2,202,600 pounds).

2> To be able to do a set of 50 push ups in absolutely PERFECT form.

So far, I have blasted through the 500,000 KG barrier and my workout intensity is substantially higher than my minimum (psycho nonetheless) level. Last week I had my heaviest lift week ever, and this week I am on track to shattering that number again. I have discovered the perfect adversary to compete against........ Myself......

Last summer I answered the question of "Who am I?", a pure blooded Hercegovinian.

This summer I am asking "What on earth is a pure blooded Herecegovinian capable of?". Hopefully measuring my progress at the zero mark, the 454,000 KG mark, the 1,000,000 KG mark, and every point in between will give me an idea of what my fitness trajectory is....

After all in Western Hercegovina, 90+ year old men can mount a woman unassisted.......

Živila slobodna zapadna Hercegovina.......
